Online Safety

The Online Safety Lead is our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), the Deputy Headteacher, Gillian Durrans. The 'online safety' message is vitally important for children today.

Think You Know guide for parents

UK Safer Internet Centre - advice for parents including advice about gaming devices

Common Sense Media - this website gives you information about book, game and film content.

NSPCC & O2 - a wealth of information about setting up controls and keeping your child safe online.

ParentInfo - safety and privacy settings for social media apps

Digital Parenting is an Online Safety magazine. It is a very informative read covering a wide range of topics. Please see the links below to download or ask at the school office for a paper copy if you have not received the latest issue.

Curriculum Information 

We use a range of resources in school to support our online safety teaching. Our teaching is part of our planned curriculum. We adapt our teaching as appropriate in response to any issues raised within the classroom or at home.

Think You Know for 5-7 year olds

We use a variety of stories to help children understand the different aspects of online safety including Smartie the Penguin and Digiduck for older children.
